About Us

Yellow’s Green

Our mission is to provide the highest quality biomass fuel heating equipment and installation support for New England as an environmentally friendly alternative to the current reliance on fossil fuels.

Yellow’s Green was started on a basic concept. After having spent years of paying the constantly increasing fuel oil prices, I decided that there must be a better way. I no longer wanted to pad the pocket of the oil magnates who changed their prices based on pure speculation of what the market was going to bring.

Corn as a fuel source is not a new idea. It has been widely used in the Midwest and Canada for over 30 years. I researched corn as a biomass fuel for over a year. During this time, it became increasingly evident that there were more benefits to burning corn instead of fuel oil.

Corn was good for the environment. It is clean burning, no smoke, creosote or carbon monoxide. It is not a hazardous material. When you spill corn, unlike oil, you just pick it up with your hands. Burning corn emits carbon dioxide, which is absorbed by the next crop of corn. It was a cycle that made sense.

Corn is renewable. A new crop grows in 180 days. Fuel oil is finite. We will eventually exhaust the resources for it. We have surplus supplies of corn in the United States. The idea of helping our own farmers was very appealing.

I have become a dealer for several companies that manufacture corn furnaces, boilers, stoves and fireplace inserts. We even have grills that use corn as the fuel source. I chose these companies based on their reliability and quality. We have included a price sheet on these products as well as current corn prices.

We have staff located in Central Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Our showroom is located on 323 Princeton Road in Fitchburg, MA and is open by appointment. Our staff is very knowledgeable and experienced in alternative heating and we all currently have biomass heating systems in our homes and businesses. We have the fuel in stock, in large quantities, and can deliver it to you tomorrow and through out the heating season.
